Let’s discuss productivity boosters. I know how hard it can be to keep everything going-work, school, life in general. There are times when I feel that I am crushing my to-do list and then there are other days when everything under the sun strikes my attention (hello, social media??. On reflection, over the years, I have found some of these simple habits that make me more productive and focused. No magic but just simple habits that can bring big difference! Want to get more done each day? Here are 10 simple habits to boost your productivity every day.
1. Wake Up 30 Minutes Earlier to Boost Your Productivity
Okay, sure, I get it. I really hate waking up early, especially when it’s dark outside, but listen to me- waking up even 30 minutes sooner can make all the difference, improve your productivity. You get a little bit of time for yourself before the chaos starts. I love sleeping in extra early just so that I have quiet coffee-drinking time or even some reading or pre-planning my day. It makes the whole day less tough to start, keeps one concentrated, and gets him more productive at starting it right in the morning.
Tip: First day wake 10 minutes earlier, then gradually build up to 30. Trust me, it would make a difference.
2. Make Your Bed (A Simple Habit to Boost Your Productivity)

I have finally come to appreciate doing my bed, which I swore was the most pointless thing in the world at one point. It is probably the easiest thing to do to feel like you’ve done something good at the beginning of the day. And walking into a clean room is way more motivational than seeing a pile of blankets! This simple practice has set the tone for the day, making me very productive from that point onward.
3. Prioritize Your Tasks: The 3-Task Rule to Stay Productive

We have all been there-long, impossible-to finish to-do lists. I used to try everything all at once, but that got overwhelming fast. I now follow the 3-task rule: I choose 3 tasks that are my top priorities for the day. These are things that, if I finish them, I’ll feel I accomplished something and am productive. This helps me stay focused on what really matters and actually increase my productivity.
Pro Tip: Make sure those 3 tasks are doable. Don’t overwhelm yourself!
4. Set Time Blocks to Increase Your Productivity (Pomodoro Technique)

You try the Pomodoro Technique if you haven’t tried it yet-it’s a game-changer! It is quite simple: for 25 minutes you are engaged in work followed by a 5-minute break, and after four of those, you get the longer break. It thus keeps me focused and does not let the brain burn out. I can also check my social media or quickly get a snack without feeling guilty about it because it increases productivity in the long run!
5. Eliminate Distractions: A Key to Staying Productive

Social media is one hell of a productivity killer. I’d always think that I could just “quickly check in” on Instagram or TikTok. Spoiler: didn’t. So nowadays, I turn off all the notifications or use an app blocker while in focused periods of work. Thus, by removing distractions, I will be able to concentrate much better and increase my productivity.
6. Eat the Frog First: Start Your Day with the Hardest Task

Not as weird as it sounds! “Eating the frog” means tackling your most dreaded task first. This is something I do if I know that I have the toughest project ahead of me. It helps, getting the most difficult task out of the way makes the rest of the day so much easier, and my productivity can increase. You won’t spend the whole day stressing over it, and that’s a huge win!
7. Take Regular Breaks: Boost Productivity Without Burning Out

I used to believe that constant working was the secret for productivity. As it turns out, this is somewhat not true! Even your brain needs rest. 5-10 minute breaks every hour can allow you to recharge and stretch while resetting. When you take a break, you return back to work with a refreshed mind to be more productive.
8. Use a Planner: Organize Your Day for Maximum Productivity

I like carrying a planner around. It really keeps me on track and helps me think straight. In the past, I used to rely on my cell phone calendar, but I did discover that actually writing things down in a planner really helps me focus. Planning your day ahead is the best habit for productivity. It keeps you from getting sidetracked, ensures you accomplish your key goals, and stays organized.
9. Move Your Body to Boost Your Productivity

It is not only good for your health but also for your productivity. Whether it’s a quick morning stretch, a lunchtime walk, or even a proper workout session, you always feel energized and your mind clears with this movement. I like walking and listening to a podcast. It wakes me up and keeps me fired for the rest of the day.
10. End Your Day with Reflection: A Productivity Game-Changer

Before bed, I take a few minutes to reflect on my day. This helps me plan ahead for the next day and increase my ability to get things done. I jot down 3 key tasks for the next day; it helps me sleep much better since nothing is nagging at me about what will be unfinished. Reflecting on what was right and can improve tomorrow gets me ready for success tomorrow.
